Monitor brand terms through search functions via Facebook and Twitter along with Google Alerts. If people are taking about your brand/business, we'll be there to engage with them.

Facebook has approx 30 million users in the UK, although Twitter doesn't give its figures out it is suspected that this is rising and has a considerable amount.

Social Media works through recommendation, if you like something then your friends will see that, if you re-tweet something your followers will see it. It is all about getting your message to the masses and this is one of the most cost effective methods to do this.

It is now having just as much effect as natural SEO in some sectors
